2026-08-04

The "Weaving Cognitive Learning Networks" Research Group (G-TERCOA/CNPq/UFC) celebrates the launch of the thematic issue "Inclusive Special Education and Mathematics Teaching" of the *Journal for Pedagogical Innovation: Education, Teaching, Experiences, and Knowledge* (RIPEDES). This publication brings together research and experiences aimed at strengthening inclusive education and fostering innovation in mathematics teaching.

Under the editorship-in-chief of Prof. Dr. Maria José Costa dos Santos (UFC), RIPEDES disseminates research that promotes pedagogical innovation, teacher training, and the development of increasingly inclusive educational systems. The journal features an editorial team composed of researchers affiliated with G-TERCOA and the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), reinforcing its mission to disseminate scientific knowledge committed to social transformation.

Organized to broaden the scientific debate on educational inclusion, the issue presents a collection of works offering diverse theoretical, methodological, and practical perspectives regarding the guarantee of the right to learning for all students. The published research addresses topics such as Inclusive Mathematics Education, Teacher Training, Curriculum and Assessment, Teaching Methodologies, Public Educational Policies, Educational Theories, Creative Insubordinate Practices, and the Teaching-Learning Process.

The issue compiles scientific articles, experience reports, theoretical essays, literature reviews, and critical reviews produced by researchers, teachers, undergraduate and graduate students, administrators, and education professionals from various institutions. All research underwent a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, ensuring high standards of quality, originality, theoretical-methodological rigor, and scientific relevance. The publication reaffirms the role of science as an instrument for transforming the educational landscape and highlights the importance of collaboration among researchers, educators, and institutions in generating knowledge that helps address the challenges faced within the school environment.

G-TERCOA/CNPq/UFC invites researchers, teachers, students, and other education professionals to explore this special edition of RIPEDES and share the knowledge produced, thereby expanding the network of researchers committed to public, democratic, and inclusive quality education for all.

It is worth noting that a supplementary edition will be released later, featuring research projects that were still in the editing phase at the time of this launch.
